    • Association Approval

    • Licensed Contractor: Only a licensed contractor can pull permits, not the unit owner, except for very minor, non-structural work.

    • Permit Application: Requires a notarized signature from the owner, or a notarized authorization letter.

    • Common Permitted Work: Kitchen/bath remodeling, water heaters, air conditioners, and window/door replacements.

    • Submit Documents: Applications, plans, and contractor information are usually submitted online through city portals.

    • Notice of Commencement: Required for renovations, recorded at the Clerk of the Court’s office for work over $5,000
